NA TATRA CHAKSHURAGACCHATI NA YAAG GACCHATI MANO NA VIDYO NA VIJANEEMO YATHAITATANUSHIPYAAT || ANYADEV TADVIDITAADAYO AVIDITADADHI ITI SUSHRUM POORVEPAAM YE NASTAT VYAACHACHAKSHIRE || There goes neither the eye, nor speech, nor mind; we know It not : nor do we see how to teach one about It. Different It is from all that are known, and beyond the unknown as well, -- we have heard from the ancient seers who explained That to us.

YATPRAANNEN NA PRAANNITI YEN PRAANNAHA PRANNEEYATE | TADEV BRAHMA TVAM VIDDHI NEDAM YADIDAM UPASATE || What none can breathe with breath, but by which the breath is directed, know that alone as Brahman and not this they worship here. 

YAT CHAKSHUPA NA PASHYATI YEN CHAKSHUMPI PASHYATI | TADEV BRAHMA TVAM VIDHDHI NEDAM YADIDAM UPASATE || What none can see with the eyes, but by which one sees the function of the eyes, know that alone as the Brahman and not this they worship here.

YADVACHA ANAMYUDITAM YEN VAAGABHYUDYATE | TADEV BRAHMA TVAM VIDDHI NEDAM YADIDAM UPASATE || What no speech can express, but what expresses speech, know that alone as Brahman and not this which people here worship.

PRATIVOGHVIDITAM MATAMAMRUTATVAM HI VINDATE | AATMANAA VINDATE VEERYE VIDYAYAA VINDATEMRUTAM || Brahman becomes really known when it is realized in all states of consciousness. Through that knowledge man attains immortality. By the self man attains strength, by the knowledge immortality. 

YASYAAMATAM TASYA MATAM MATAM YASYA NA VEDA SAHA | AVIGNAATAM VIJAANATAAM VIGNAATAMA VIJAANATAAM || Brahman is truely comprehended by him who knows It as incomprehensible. It is known to him to whom It is unknown; he does not know to whom It is known. It is unknown to those who know well, and known to those who do not know.
